The IMPACT service in Nottingham offers homeopathic treatment for NHS patients with common mental health problems. The service has demonstrated that 74% of patients in this category experienced significant improvement and many were able to come off conventional medication.

In 2003 Scientists at the University of Kayalani in India have shown that the homeopathic remedy Arsenicum Album reduces the liver damage caused by arsenic in mice. Arsenic occurs naturally in the environment but the levels are particularly high in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Arsenic poisoning has been linked to liver disease, diabetes and cancer. The scientists led by Professor Khuda-Bukhsh found that a drop of the homeopathic remedy 3 times a day reduced arsenic levels in the mice dramatically in just 72 hours. The potentised homeopathic drug Arsenicum Album not only has the ability to help remove arsenic from the body, but these drugs in microdoses appear to have the ability to detoxify the ill-effects produced by arsenic in mice, said Professor Khuda-Bukhsh.
