This person has a very unique and wonderful voice and in some passages of this song I am reminded of the Japanese counter-tenor Yoshikazu Mera. I hope his talent will go on forever !

Excellent beyond words !!!

This is one of the most difficult pop vocals ever written and not just any voice can sing it. This girl CAN sing it ! This is professional without a doubt !!!! :-)

Finally! Someone with the richness and gusto that this aria richly deserves. This is not an aria for just anyone to sing. It takes a special voice to sing it properly and with Peter Rose we have such a voice !!! :-)

By far one of the most excellent performance of this aria in relation to the singer (Scholl), the costumes and setting - it is a package which all comes together to make something that is without a doubt nothing but superb.

This is a very difficult aria to sing well and in this performance it is done well. The B section is done quite well but there are times when the orchestra overshadows the soloist.

The more I listen to this aria the more I am convinced of that the soloist here sounds very much like the treble Benjamin Isachsen. This is one of my favorite arias by Handel and expertly rendered by Mark Padmore. This area and Alceste are hidden gems which show the greatness of Handel and for sure should be performed more !! :-)

Very nice indeed ! When was this performance recorded? Mark Padmore seems very young in this performance, even to the point of my not recognizing him.
