About Me:
From age 13-16 I was at Raj Academy of Asian Music, playing Sarangi, performing Tanti Saaj Kirtan, touring internationally in attempt to revive a forgotten Sikh art, lost to colonialism.
Since leaving Raj Academy at 16 I began intensive Sarangi training (Indian Classical) from Sri Surjit Singh Namdhari, senior disciple of Sarangi maestro Pandit Ram Narayan.
Music & poetry have always been my creative outlets.
I believe my vocals are my ultimate form of expression. I love experimenting with my musical abilities. Being vocally self-taught, I take inspiration from my personal experiences and historical experience from my roots, my studies in History and my role as a Trustee for national youth empowerment charity 'Envision' and as an ambassador for 'The Holocaust Educational Trust'.
