Royston Williams aka Lyrical Roy, was born and raised in Bristol, a small city in the United Kingdom, as both of his parents are of Jamaican origin he was introduced to Reggae music at a very young age. As a young child, unaware of his many talents, Lyrical attended Easton road junior school where he loved to do art work and thought he was destined to be an architect, little did he know then. Lyrical's parents were separated and being raised by his mother in Bristol, Lyricial had to travel to London to visit his father. Lyrical had no idea that the trips to London would be one of the most influential experiences he ever had, with the discovery of pirate radio stations which at the time were playing a new breed of music drum n bass that quickly took over the streets of the U.K and made its move into Lyrical's life. After fascinating about what he was hearing Lyrical made sure he had a pack of empty TDK cassettes every time he went to London so he could record the sessions and bring them home. Hearing Mc Shabba and Mc Det on a mixtape inspired him so much that he just started to try and freestyle to every beat which soon became an everyday habit. Before he even knew it he was mcing at local raves in his hometown with some of the best mc's at that time. After leaving Bristol and moving to Amsterdam, Lyrical has become the new sensation in the Dancehall/Hip Hop market, with his hype acts, raw lyrics and down to earth style, Lyrical is coming out stronger than ever! After hooking up with Amo-Lab and the collaboration with Biggaman, it has been a wild ride with rocking performances throughout Europe and unprecedented sales of the mixtape The First Confrontation in 2006. The abrupt absence of Biggaman has led to the solo movement of Lyrical. His mixtape Lyricallism and album Lyrically Speaking, will be blasting through all speakers in Europe in 2007! The new single "Energy" along with the video will be coming out soon and this will be a guaranteed energy kick for all music lovers! "wha we drink?!" Lyrical is definitely holding his own this in 2007, "It's a Hustle Hard thing!"
