The company, Gonzo, (creator of this anime) decided not to make a season 3 because the anime was so off the manga. Fans of the manga were angry and to make sure they don't risk anymore money (which they didn't have a lot of at the time), they weren't even going to try season 3. But recently they put Rosario + Vampire on Netflix and have been profiting from it so there is a possibility they will make a season 3 in the future.
