I am a writer and artist living and working in Wales, UK. I make regular article contributions to Velvet Magazine, PlanetSappho.com website and also write character profiles for Blue Murder Events, a murder mystery event management company. I am a novelist and short story writer and I'm published by Legend Press in the short story collection Seven Days.

Writing
I write fiction and non-fiction in a variety of genres. I have a short story published in an anthology by Legend Press and regularly contribute articles to magazines. I write literary fiction in the main, and many of my characters are lesbian but I wouldn't necessarily restrict myself to 'lesbian and gay writing' as a genre. I have submitted a story to Amazon Shorts and have approval, just waiting for it to be uploaded. See my website for more of my writing.

Reading
I read anything and everything. I have some favourite authors and favourite genres but wouldn't pass up anything as long as it's well written. A non-exhaustive list of my favourite authors and books would be Sarah Waters, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Jacqueline Wilson. I also like Manga and Anime and graphic novels. The list of my Amazon.com purchases is misleading as I make most of my online purchases from Amazon.co.uk and only come to Amazon.com for something I can't find in the UK.

Reviewing
This is something I've only recently started doing on Amazon, though I've been recommending books to friends for a long time. On YouWriteOn.com I've reviewed about 100 books and stories, and got as many back for my own work. On Amazon it's a different sort of reviewing because you're not telling the author where they're going wrong or right, but letting other readers know whether it's worth getting the book. If you're wondering why I only seem to give high scores for my reviewed books, that's because I only review something if I think it's worth reviewing. I won't give the time it takes to write the review or space on my profile to something that I think isn't worth it. ABNA is different, as the books are unpublished, so it's more like YouWriteOn.com.

Art
I love to paint, draw, sculpture and mould. I rarely get the chance to these days but some of my previous artwork is on my website. I am a crafty person and I knit and embroider and generally make stuff. This is something I do as a hobby rather than as a profession -- writing is my profession. But I wouldn't say no to the opportunity to create my own animated film or graphic novel.

Karate
I'm a purple belt and have been fighting for two years. I have a shelf full of trophies so don't mess with me!
