About this user

I have been involved in all aspects of the music business for thirty years. It has been a good run.

I have been an active sax/flute/clarinet player since 1977 in cities such as New Orleans, Chicago, Washington, DC, Los Angeles and New York. I have played all types of music from commercial to classical and have composed/arranged pieces for all types of ensembles including two for the PBS Documentary Government Girls of WWII.

My technical experience includes the following:

Mixing, Editing, Recording, Syncing: I am a certified ProTools Operator and have experience with WaveLab, Logic, Sound Forge, virtual instruments, midi as well as various video editing software including Sony Vegas. I am experienced with analog boards.

Since 1981 I have been involved with many studio projects and remote recordings. In addition to my five self-released CDs I have worked with jazz artists, rock bands, classical ensembles and spoken word. Two of recordings I produced in 2008 were up for awards locally in DC. I have also worked with various local bands recording, editing and syncing their videos.

I am a voting member of the Recording Academy Producers and Engineers Wing, the Audio Engineering Society (AES) as well as the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
