To my Amhara brothers and sisters:
Some facts we need to accept:
1. Ethiopia is dead. She died when the Tigrai-Tigrign people seized power.
2. Ethnicity is the main banner of organization in the backwards horn of Africa.
3. TPLF/Woyanes/Tigrays' main enemy is the Amhara people (not the Oromos).
4. Systematic ethnic cleansing is going on- against the Amhara people- the extent of which we will never know until we become free from the current rulers.
5. Our land is being leased and sold to countries like Sudan.
6. Lake Tana+Abay are our major natural resources. TPLF/Tigrays will sooner or later sign an international deal that will decisively prevent us from using it. The deal will be signed under the name of the dead Ethiopia.
7. This concerns all of us Amharas, and it is urgent. Our survival as people depends on it.
My recommendation is, start looking at the possibility that we may have no choice but to go the ethnic route and establish a country. When a person bleeds only for being "Amhara", are the Tigrays standing up? Are the Oromos standing up? It seems both those two ethnic groups blame the Amharas. We can try to rationalize how inaccurate this is or even irrelevant in this day and age. But you can't change other people's mindset. Times have changed. The Oromos will never ever be able to look beyond their ethnicity and work towards unity. The Tigrays will never ever stop seeing the Amharas as their top enemy until they destroy us completely.
We need to come to reality. More than anything, we need to wrap our heads around the fact that we may have to create a country. Instead of a bloody mess that is sure to ensue unless we start accepting this fact, we need to slowly start considering how we can peacefully (if there is such a thing) sort out issues of borders, assets, rights of those living in our territory and those Amharas living in others' territory. The sooner we start the consideration, the sooner we can both prevent our demise and possible bloodshed in the last minute.
