@eLLriDe420 No, chimpanzees are not man's best friend, they're mankind's closest being, the dog is mankind's best friend, maybe with the domesticated cat a close 2nd. Most monkeys have characteristics similar to human beings. The chimp being the closest.

Most breeds of monkeys, ape, primate, or whatever, show that humanlike characteristic of hugging or other types of affection with each other as well as their human caretakers.
I am neither creationist, or evolutionist, in the context, that these two words, are used to disparage each other. I don't think the terminology of what to call these animals, has anything to do with this, however.
