I began working as a model in San Francisco to help pay for my college tuition at U.C. Berkeley. For many years after graduation I continued to work professionally as a runway and print model, mostly in Paris, London, Milan, Rome, as well as, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco- my home town. I did shows for some of the world's top designers such as Armani, Fendi, Escada, Versace, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and countless others. Later in my modeling career I was able to do a number of television commercials , you may have seen me in a series of national solo ads I did for Ross, as well as, HBO's Swimsuit the Movie, Young and the Restless, The Tom Arnold Show, and In the House with LL Cool J. My work allowed me access to many of the best hair stylists and make-up artists in the glam world. Being around amazing designers, hairstylist and make-up artist made me keenly aware of what looked good on me and also what looked good on other models and why. I have always tracked where the new styles and trends were headed in order to keep my look current and to keep working.
Always looking for a new, more exciting look, I, like many of you reading this, became an avid wearer of extensions because they allowed me to experiment with different colors, lengths and styles. That was until it became apparent to me that the extensions were actually damaging MY own hair , which became brittle , thinning my hairline, causing dandruff, itchy scalp and often a not so pleasant odor . I exercise everyday. This was in addition to spending a small fortune, as well as, countless hours with overbooked and expensive hair stylists. Being completely obsessed with having beautiful and healthy hair, I knew I had to find an alternative to the extensions before I completely ruined my own hair. I turned to wigs and eventually came to the conclusion that lace wigs were by far the best solution. Now I have beautiful hair every day. My own hair is healthy again. My scalp no longer itches or flakes and my hairline has filled in. An added benefit is I am no longer a slave to hairdressers, having to pay to remove and install extensions. I care for my hair myself and change my look whenever I want without much trouble.
