  CCP can do it - they have more than enough resources. You are right, I do have high standards, and this WIP video is not enough of a step forward, it is a side-step as all that fundamentally is being changed is the skybox picture.

  Sorry if my opinion does not match your yours - but my opinion stands. It doesn't look like a nebulae, it looks like a picture of a nebulae - hence it looks flat, because it is a skybox.
