About this user
All things Creative is what rings my bell. In some things it's obvious in others I have to look harder. But it is the essence of what I look to glean from all encounters to give me joy. I produce a weekly TV show "All Things Creative" featuring interviews and performance with artists of many mediums plus selected short videos. If you would like to have your video featured on the show, send it to: All Things Creative, P.O. Box 1016, Carmel, California, 93921. The show airs on AMP channel 24 in Monterey California Friday's at 2:30 pm and 8:30 pm and Saturday's at 2:30 am and 8:30 am Pacific Standard Time and streams live on the web on AMPMEDIA.ORG at the same times.

HIPPIE TV Rama P. Jama's All Things Creative.
By Stuart Thornton
Johnnie Barnett was a musician who began his career as a solo guitarist opening for acts like Cheech and Chong, Frank Zappa and Dion. After an appearance in the Robert Altman film Nashville, Barnett decided to settle in the Tennessee city and pursue a career as a songwriter. He ended up selling his work to performers like Etta James, The Stray Cats and country artist Clay Walker, who had a country hit with Barnett and co-writer Rory Lee's "The Chain of Love."
Barnett, who made a living through this creative process of songwriting, is the perfect sort of subject for the new Access Monterey Peninsula cable channel 24 television show All Things Creative. Debuting last month with a show devoted to the memory of local artist Bruce Ariss, All Things Creative is the brainchild of Paige Robertson, know around these parts as Rama P. Jama, a former DJ on KAZU and the 10-year host of Juice 'n' Java's now defunct open mic night.
The half-hour program features interviews and performances by mostly local artists in all genres. Also, Robertson is hoping to air creative short videos on the show.
Though Barnett was not a local, the Nashville-based musician visited this area frequently. Robertson chose to air the piece on Barnett because of the songwriter's "depth of character and insight into life."
Upcoming All Things Creative episodes include highlights of the seventh annual Blues, Soul, Jazz and Rock Review in Carmel Valley and an interview with photographer Edna Bullock.
ALL THINGS CREATIVE can be seen on Access Monterey Peninsula Cable Channel 24 every Friday at 2:30pm and 8:30pm and Saturdays at 2:30am and 8:30am.
