About Alive and Kicking
Alive & Kicking manufactures hand stitched sports balls in sub-Saharan Africa in order to provide balls for children who dont have balls to play with, jobs for previously unemployed adults, and health awareness for young people through sport.
Alive & Kickings work is based on the belief that by combining social entrepreneurship with sports mass appeal, lasting economic and social development can be achieved in Africa.
So far Alive & Kicking has made and distributed 200,000 balls, has created 150 jobs in Africa, and has reached over 40,000 children with an HIV/AIDS education campaign.
