Ali (Telugu: ఆలి): I am a South Indian actor, I acted in more than 800 movies in Tollywood, Kollywood and Bollywood.

I developed a passion for acting since childhood. I used to perform mimicry shows during festivals and wedding events. I came into the movie industry with the help of Jitu Mohan Mitra, Rajahmundry's well known musical company. When I heard that director Bharathi Raja was looking for new child artists for his movie "Seethakoka Chiluka" in the year 1981, I went to Chennai and attended the screening at his office. Bharathi Raja was pleased with my performance and gave me a role in the film.

As a child artist, I've acted in a variety of movies. However, as I grew older, I was no longer suitable for child roles. I held on to the film industry in Chennai and waited for a breakthrough role.

It was director S.V.Krishna Reddy who gave me the much-needed break with comic roles in his movies which started my second career in Tollywood. Even though no suitable roles were present, S. V. Krishna Reddy used to create new roles for me. Reddy suggested me that i should have my own style of dialogue delivery. Even I thought I should have my own style. So I created one, which is a word, now known popularly as Chaata. I acted as a Lead hero in couple of movies. I also acted in Kannada movie Super (2010 Kannada film) which did well.

My mother tongue is "Malayalam" as my ancestors are from Kerala.
