Born and raised in Millsboro, Delaware, Alison became Miss Delaware in 1997 singing the classical Italian aria "O Mio Babbino Caro" and represented her state in the Miss America Pageant, where she received the Bert Parks Talent Award singing "Poor Wand'ring One". Alison to date has stayed active with the Miss America Organization by producing, directing judging and performing for local and state competitions. She was named by The Miss Delaware Organization as Volunteer of the Year. Alison currently works for Madison Square Garden Entertainment at the legendary The Chicago Theatre as Director of Events working within the concerts and special events.
Following her year as Miss Delaware, Alison attended the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, in Hartford, Connecticut, receiving a full tuition scholarship in vocal performance. While attending Hartt, she performed at the Commonwealth Awards, which honored actor Morgan Freeman. After graduating from the Hartt School of Music with a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Alison moved to New York City completing further study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Alison has also studied at Tanglewood Institute in Lenox, Massachusetts with daily interaction with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Northwestern University's Music Institute in Evanston, Illinois. Alison has had a successful music career by performing with The Boston Pops, The Boston Symphony Orchestra, The Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, featured on National Public Radio, Birdland Jazz Club, The Rainbow Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Village Light Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Company, Dover Downs NASCAR, TNT Network, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, and many more.
