Spitting Image got it wrong))) not only was the party called Liberal Democrats and is until now associated much more with the old Liberals than with the SDP, David Owen actually didn't join it and presided over the remains of SDP, until it lost all of its MPs in 1992, with Owen retiring
At 1:52, we can briefly see Enoch Powell next to Ian Paisley. Very briefly, they were shown in a away similar to Owen and Steel (huge Paisley and small Powell sucking up to him). Both depictions were equally inaccurate but who cares)))
