  Having not seen the series, I don't know how this compares to the original, but I like it. Even more impressive if it's been pulled off by ear - the tune on the violin must be hard enough, but even more so for the piano accompaniment to get the right chords.

@The2010SnowDay Yes, it can: the MIDI adaptation basically involved a rank of solenoids to push the keys, positioned and braced so as to play the existing keyboard. Unfortunately, you can't really see the workings of it in the videos: the mechanism itself blocks most of the view of how it works.
