Wagner's Das Rheingold - In Notes & Pictures
Just a little two-and-a-half-hour slideshow presentation I put together, using the vocal score, a live recording of the 2010 La Scala premiere, and a few images I googled up.
21-Mar-2011: Project started.
25-May-2011: Slideshow completed.
14-Jun-2011: Have tentatively started adding a leitmotif analysis to the slideshow by way of annotations.
6-Aug-2011: 1st Draft of leitmotif analysis completed.
16-Aug-2011: 2nd Draft of leitmotif analysis (i.e. establishing continuity in terminology usage) completed.
3-Sep-2011: 3rd Draft of leitmotif analysis completed. Barring any major additions/changes, this madcap "Das Rheingold" project of mine is now done and dusted.

Wagner's Die Feen - Visual Pasticcio (Work In Progress)
20 Oct 2011: Will attempt to compile together visual fragments of Richard Wagner's first (and sadly, mostly forgotten) opera, completed at aged 20 but only premiered 5 years after his death. Wish me luck.
28 Oct 2011: Only just came across what I believe to be the only performance of "Die Feen" on film! The world owes a debt of gratitude to you, "ROBERTARCE1". Thanks to his efforts, we've got (pretty much) a complete Act 1 on YT.
8 Jan 2012: Resumed work on "Die Feen" after having idled away the remainder of 2011. Act I completed and compiled into 8 parts.
20 Jan 2012: Project is mothballed (again!) until the next dose of enthusiasm comes along. In the meantime, I've posted the finished compilation of Act 1. Hopefully, I'll muster enough energy further down the road to complete it.
