because its a performance in the true sense of the word, not a recital. music is a living, breathing thing, a song can (and some would say it has to) change otherwise it goes stale.since music has been recorded that performance aspect has sort of died because (some) people expect artists to perform a song the same way over and over again. it makes absolutely no sense to me. peoples moods and emotions change, why shouldnt the songs? this is why we are stuck with soulless throwaway shit.

Led Zepplin - over the hills and far away
I played this at a bar on the jukebox a few months ago and some wigger type girl walked up to me and said "Why dont you play something good for a change?" Then she used the jukebox and played some of that hip hop jungle music bullshit so I put a $20 in the jukebox and played nothing but Led Zeppelin Lynyrd Skynyrd and Tom Petty.
