@AnimeLovePrincess In the original manga, it was because she drank soda. Mermaids get drunk off soda according to Rina (not that Lucia knew that...)

@Teppo459 Well, yeah, they probably do a whole bunch of other investigations that don't go on TV because nothing turns up. Only the interesting cases get on the show - being able to say a famously "haunted" place isn't really haunted, or that something really is.
