Been enjoying the cello lessons. I'm a late learner. I have an out of print Aguste Franchomme's Caprices & Etudes CD performed by Carl Ruede which is wonderful. (iTunes may have it now, not sure) I'd sure love to see some these performed, but particularly Franchomme's Etude #6 in C Major, which is a short but very interesting piece. Just in your spare time, of course. :) Thanks again. Cheers from the Cellomangler.

Good evening, Mr. Stuart.
By finding your channel my search for good cello tutorials was done. Your Cello Chat Videos helped me a lot to decide to get startet in playing cello.
I play the guitar for 8 years or something and I want to learn more instruments (i play the bass and the drums also, and since a few months ago the piano, too).
Are the cheap cellos for about 200 euros worth to be bought? I dont want to pay 3000 bucks for a instrument i dont really know, but buying a crappy one shouldnt be right choice, too, i think. What do you think of the price for a beginner Cello?

Greetings and appreciation,
Chris.

Hi John,
You'll never guess who I just spoke with.......Mr. Rosenblith!! He said he is going to be 90!!!!! I should be visiting with him in October, as I will be going back to Boston to visit my family.
Hope you are doing well!

Hello Mr.Stuart.
hi, my name is sree. im 15 and i need help with my cello
ur videos have helped me alot. thnk u! actually i used to play the violin for two years and then the clarinet. but i started playing cello about a week and a half ago, i am self taught, and i already kno the basics like reading notes and what not. and i can assure u that i have tremendously improved in just a few days. but my problem is idk what to do next. i have no teacher, and no where i can go to find one ASAP. this is really sumthing i want to succeed in, but skool doesnt start until august so i want to improve as much as i can and i need ur help. i tried to find music online but there wasnt any. but i kno most composers like bach, debussy, ect. and i also tried playing cello suite no. 1. i can play only the first few measures. im am sorry to be wasting ur time but this is sumthing that i am eager to learn so if u cud help me out a bit i wud be very grateful.

--thank you so so so much.

anks for the really helpful videos! Just a question: looking at a piece, what is the difference between a II and a IIa? (I've been taught that II means that I should play on a D string, but what does the IIa mean and how is it different from II?) Hope you can help me. I'm baffled.
