Set against the backdrop of the Old World, two adventurers--both seasoned warriors--will quest across a Western Europe ablaze with the turmoil of a newly begun Fourth Crusade. The Cursed Crusade tells of a ritual performed by the order of Templars. As a consequence, a dark, terrifying new power was obtained. Terrible things started to happen, and many lives were lost; it was then decided that this new power would have to remain a secret. But no secret remains forever untold... With the end of the 12th century imminent, the Pope launches a Fourth Crusade to conquer the holy city of Constantinople. The young Templar Denz de Bayle joins up so he can find his father, who never returned from the previous crusade. Denz will find the truth during a journey through the greatest cities of medieval Europe and the Orient.
The Cursed Crusade bietet Spielern eine fesselnde Geschichte vor dem Hintergrund der Kreuzzüge im 12. Jahrhundert. Während des vierten Kreuzzuges kämpfen Action-Fans im Koop-Modus online oder per Splitscreen mit den verfluchten Kriegern Denz de Bayle und Esteban Noviembre in einer Spielwelt, die historische Geschehnisse, Religion und Mystik in sich vereint. Vor diesem Hintergrund führt der Weg der zwei unterschiedlichen Recken mit gleichen Zielen unter anderem nach Konstantinopel und Zara, wo sie in der 3rd-Person-Perspektive zahlreiche Abenteuer bestehen müssen. Sollten einmal keine Mitspieler verfügbar sein, übernimmt die KI die Steuerung des Diebes Esteban.

Für Solo-Abenteurer übernimmt die KI die Kontrolle über Esteban, dem der Spieler Befehle erteilen kann. Intensive, intuitive 3rd-Person-Action -- Die waffenbasierte Kampfsteuerung mit über 130 Waffen und mehr als 100 Kombos sowie einem timingbasierten Kontersystem ist einfach zu erlernen, bietet aber trotzdem große Spieltiefe.
