Saved people look just like lost people. They all look the same, and
sometimes they all act the same, the reason for that is, no matter how
hard we pray, no matter how many times we fall to our knees, we will
"NEVER" reform our flesh, we were born in sin & will go to the
grave a sinner, sin is "NOT" the ...issue, "FAITH" in the finished work of
the cross is. AND, most important...it's not YOUR faith that keeps you saved. It's the faith OF Christ (something bible perversions change to faith IN Christ - that's wrong - we don't keep ourselves saved)
Grace has been prevalent since the beginning - faith as well. Every dispensation was to be believed in faith, to do what God required. Under law (and the law could never save, as such - but it was kept in faith as God required - NO CHOICE. We do have a choice in our behavior - they did not. Point is...different requirements came at different time. Moses dispensed the law - Paul dispensed grace (in a manner unlike times past).
Ephesians 3
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery ...
God's requirement for us is that we BELIEVE ON Jesus Christ. That means nothing more (and nothing less) then throwing our whole ugly, sinful selves into His hands and trust that He paid it ALL. There is NOTHING we can do...nothing required of us, other than to believe and trust that Christ did every bit of the work for salvation.
So how can you tell if a person is saved? - By his testimony.
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And He was buried, and He rose again the third day
It shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
When did they BELIEVE ON HIM for their righteousness and justification? Knowing there is not ONE thing they could do to add or take away to be saved? If they KNOW there was a time that this occurred - they were saved and sealed unto the day of redemption.
OSAS - eternally secure in Him.

I study the Bible in a dispensational manner as God told us to:
2 Tim 2:15 (rightly dividing the word of truth - which is the gospel of MY salvation as compared to the "good news" given to those in times past.
Dispensationalism is a teaching method - not a doctrine or "teaching". People who understand what God said about the dispensing of His Truths throughout time study dispensationally.
There is no ONE dispensational understanding of theology.
Even YOU are a dispensationalist.
You don't take what was dispensed as obedience unto Israel...especially easy to see would be the priestly Levitical Laws. You do not build an ark for the saving of your house - though there is detailed information about all of that. You use common sense and figure out what is directly TO you in the Bible.
It's all FOR us...just not all TO us.
So, save your judgments about what you don't understand and listen to God instead. Amen

Skeptics of the special revelation given to Paul are quick to point out that there were people "in Christ" before Paul.
"Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me." -- Romans 16:7
Out of the 78 times in the Bible the phrase "in Christ" shows up, Paul is the one that uses the phrase 75 times. This should let us know that the phrase is distinctively Pauline.
Christ died for all sins; past, present and future.
You can not lose your salvation.
You do not have to be water baptized to be saved.
You do not have to confess your sins to be saved.
You do not have to be a member of any earthly church organization to be saved.
Good works will not save you.
Asking Jesus into your heart will not save you.
Living by the golden rule will not save you.
The entire Bible is from God and is for our learning.
Keeping (or trying to keep) the ten commandments will not save you.
Your apostle for today is Paul. He is the pattern by which we follow Jesus Christ.
Peter & the kingdom saints preached a different gospel than Paul.
Jesus instructed His disciples to go only to the lost sheep of Israel.
Blessing Israel will not save you.
All scripture is written for us but the only books written specifically to us for today are found in Romans through Philemon.
You do not have to DO anything to be saved today. Simply choose to believe in the finished work of Jesus at Calvary on your behalf.
