You can tell they wanted to make another movie like with Savage Planet. I gotta say, I am SO glad they didn't, these clips and fight scenes work a lot better as ads, as little as that can say.

Its okay, but there isn't enough texture or strength to the sound. The relatively soundless feel of the beginning makes the even more silent-sounding buildup at 1:15 to 1:45 a complete waste and utterly ineffective, same can be said for the payoff.

I personally like the new Wheeljack because of how badass he is, but he is definitely not the mad scientist of G1, so I can understand your complaints with the character.

@zack6220 The characters have actual character and are likable, each monster has a biology to it, and the monster variety is much deeper, all of which are true to the original Godzilla series. (Except for the characters, that's a happy bonus.)

People hate the original PSP because it had only one stubby thumbstick and the DS has a touchscreen. Now it has two extended thumbsticks and touchscreen and people still hate it.

Damn, this movie is a lot better than I remember.

The wars here are pretty good, lots of great choreography and the slow-mo is well-applied so that you can see all of the action. The characters are introduced a little quickly, but in lieu of long backstory that wouldn't fit in the movie we get short and effective dialogue.

@BruceyGoodness I'm with ya there. When optimus is wearing the head like a helmet it looks outright strupid, but the bare-bones thing is pretty impressive, and much more articulate than Star Convoy.

@smutoys No, but from what I've seen (with the exception of Zaku II, Char Version, and the original Gundam) they have very few parts and the black skeleton pokes out hideously all over.

@kazthehack This was when most Gundams had chibi-esque eyes and really narrow faceplates. Combined, they made for a "Derp" expression that wouldn't be fixed until Brave Exkaiser.

I usually like red and black, the colors can complement each other really well, but the sparseness of the red is off-putting, whereas it looked much better in grey. I think red and black work best when one bleeds into the other with cracks and seams, like molten lava.

I always thought the Adele looked a little feminine, and the construction looks like you're just putting on a bra & bikini...

I think the sound effects kinda overpower the the epic soundtrack, but damn is that smooth motion!
