About this user
Afshin Linux was born on September 12, 1988 in Esfahan, Iran. He was introduced to music at the age of 10. Many people wonder why his nickname is Linux. It's because he was the team leader of his city's online games center and since then he decided to keep the name. During the early years, he was a fan of music bands such as Korn, System of A Down and P.O.D. but at the age of 11 he started to like Rap & Pop music and later started a four-member music band called 'Black Angels' who focused on combining Pop music with Rap. Their first single 'Dance of Angels' was released in 2003. After releasing 5 tracks together, Afshin has left the group and moved to Dubai, UAE, with his family.
Afshin has released his first solo single called 'Shabe Vasvaseh' (The Night of Temptation) on 04/04/2004. After that he met a composer names Shervin and they started recording the next singles at Lorenzo studio in Dubai. After the release of 'Shabe Vasvaseh', 'Eshgh o Haal', 'Kooche Bonbasteh' and 'Morghdooni' and during a short trip home, he recorded another track called 'Yaadet Nemiad' (You Don't Remember) with his former band.
In 2006, Afshin has released a track called 'Nakon Naaz' which was a combination of comedy rap and Iranian dance music, composed by Shervin. This was followed by releasing a collaboration with Sinaxina called 'Gharashmish' and later in 2008, a track called 'Doroogh Gooyi' composed by Aeen, a talented composer living in Iran. After the huge success of 'Doroogh Gooyi', they released two more tracks: 'Vay Ajab Dokhtari' and 'Shabe Tavallod'.
Afshin was Dubai's first Persian rapper and has been working on music for the past 8 years. His favorite music genre is Electro House and he is trying to combine Persian Dance music with it in his upcoming releases.
Not only he composes the words and music of all his tracks, but he is now doing that for a number of artists based in Iran.
