Not that you would do this, because you're so intelligent and cautious, but don't attempt rappelling without seeking the proper training. We find many fraying, hardware store ropes in the canyons, (which are unsuitable BTW). Make sure you go with a reputable guide service, or an ACA Certified Canyon Leader.
