Back when I played Tekken 2 as a kid, whenever I spammed a move through a couple battles, the enemy AI would almost always learn to counter it. So I think the AI is adjusting to discourage move spamming.

I wish the 3DS had someway to output video to an external monitor. Perhaps the additional headroom for not needing 3D would go to a higher resolution in that case.

When you did the blown up 3DS footage, did you simply bring the camera close to the 3DS, or were you somehow able to output video from the 3DS?

For PC recording, Dxtory is king. Not the easiest to use, but is easily one of the most versatile recording software on the market.

Fraps however, is so easy, a Neanderthal can use.

For an early PS2 game, the visuals seemed pretty impressive. Animation was pretty bad though.

@snotball007 The "exploding Hollow Points" he referred to are likely Ballistic tip rounds, which fragment and are expensive. These rounds have a plastic colored tip which splits the round.

@ikilluish Yeah, looks closer to a throwback to the classic PS2 era than a horribly distorted eyesore. Throwing in a SMAA injector really helps with the aliasing while costing less than the Deferred MSAA (though it still takes framerates down a notch),

The botched up sound strongly suggests a cpu bottleneck, which must be pretty low end considering the onboard graphics are also horribly underpowered for this game.

In next gen mode, Lara resembles my sister's barbie dolls. The bump mapping, lighting and shadows are good effects, but the specular highlights are way off. Wish each setting could be changed individually.

@FLA416 Laptops with dedicated GPUs enabled will have issues with any external GPU solution due to competition over the Bus. First, disable the dedicated GPU through the BIOS, then try it. Make sure drivers are set up properly.

@Draftgon The ViDock officially supports only the ExpressCard port, however, it's possible to buy an adaptor that will fit into the mPCIe that is on the underside of most current laptops.

@QuadroNVS This setup can be made yourself as well. In addition to being cheaper, you can get an adaptor that works with mPCIe (wireless card slot) slots in case you lack the Expresscard slot.

I plan on making a setup that utilizes a GTX 460 over my own mPCIe slot on my HP Dv7-4285DX.

Jumping on Thunderbolt and USB 3.0, Nvidia and AMD have a lot to gain by going the eGPU route. College students, for example, rarely can afford more than an entry level notebook. Even better, if this can be mounted on the back of a monitor, high end PC gaming would expand like never before.

Your computer will be able to render HD videos so long as it doesn't need to do the compressions in real time (IE, your card does the processing while recording, the PC compresses the vids for youtube).

Looks pretty impressive, do you use component video cables, or the standard Composite video cable? I see none of the scanlines present in a lot of older videos.

Even though the Mobility Radeon 5470 is a low end card, it works fantastic for Source based games. Yes, it sucks when it comes to games like BF3, but it is still decades beyond IGPs.
