Being good is 'forget oneself' to think of others'.
It's 'always forgive' and think that human weakness is greater than malice.
It's 'commiserate the weakness of others', thinking that we also are weak, and that in their conditions, perhaps we would have done worse.
It's 'close the eyes' to the ingratitude of others.
It's 'give although not receive', smiling at those who do not understand or appreciate.
It's 'sacrificing', adding to the weight of our sorrows of each day, the punishment of others.
It's 'hold the strongly heart' to drown one's sorrows, and smile constantly to others.
It's 'accept the unsympathetic fact that the more we give, the more they'll ask."
It's 'consent to nothing left for ourselves', out of the joy and the peace of clean conscience.
It's 'recognize securely that the only truly good is God'
¿Y qué es ser bueno?
Ser bueno es 'Olvidarse de sí mismo' para pensar en los otros.
Es 'perdonar siempre' pensando que la debilidad humana es mayor que la malicia.
Es 'compadecer la debilidad de los demás', pensando que nosotros también somos débiles; y que en sus condiciones, tal vez, habríamos obrado peor.
