Genocide and the affects it has had on Our PeoplePosted by Angela on March 17, 2009 at 9:29amThe Truth and Facts:When genocide struck our land, there became many people lost to the traditions, to the connection of the people. And this happened due to families who ran and hid during these times to make sure thier children lived....and in doing so they took on new identities, if they were black they took on black, if they were native looking they took on Mexican or Itilian, if they were whiter lookking they took on Black Irish, Black Dutch, and Black German. And in doing so they had no idea that they would become LOST in the generations to come to thier own people and thier TRUE identities.The Prophecy:The old ones said that these Lost People would feel different inside and begin to search for thier roots. Not all of them will do this , yet those who become awakened through dreams or a feeling being drawn to the Native People will come back and No Longer Be Lost to the people.MY PERSOANL FEELINGS::And I feel that this prophecy has been becoming true through DNA discovery AND through Genealogy. They tell you in the istructions to finding Native family ...the first clue is that they suddenly apear in paper work. Native Americans were not documemted by paper untill the White Europeans showed up. This is common and along with hiding ones race inorder not to be murdered was also common. Thus we find today how the older generations still use this practice...yes we have Cherokee or which ever tribe yet we are White in public or we are Mexican in public. I find it not only sad but also I feel and SEE just how bad the Terrorism from the governments have scared people to death, and these governments should be ashamed of themselves. Making our ancestors , elders, and all these generations of our family so scared with terror that even after 500 years they do not know how to be proud of the way the Creator made them.That is why I will never back down about who I am verses what someone else wants me to be. I know in my heart that the Creator made me who I am because the Creator is proud of who he made.And The Creator IS MUCH STRONGER than those governments and terrorists of our land , be it called The Americas or be it called Turtle Island...either way we all know who and where we are talking about!
