Good music, can be any genre, it's more about the content. I listen to music that makes me think, feel, or both.
Books:
Slaughterhouse Five, Orwell's stuff, and I supposer anything written from a viewpoint in opposition to mine is entertaining. Can't tell you how many times I have read the work of neo-conservative talking heads, just to get myself whipped up to write a song.

Your words deeply touched my heart. Simultaneously I am humbled. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for your most encouraging comment. I am at a loss for words to see an 'unknown' friend that I have never met, to provide me with so much compassion and support.
I ask myself what is the reason? My answer is: Love of music and genuine criterion to recognize and support true art even from an unknown little girl who is not part of a main stream and carries a message with her music.
