Since beginning his study of the classical guitar at age 7, Adam Levin has performed the world over in settings across the United States, Italy and England. He has appeared as soloist and in chamber ensembles at renowned venues such as the Chicago Art Institute, Northwestern University and Chicago Cultural Center, in Italy at the Palazzo Chigi Saracini in Siena, and in Boston at the Isabella Gardner Museum, the Children's Museum, and Jordan Hall. Levin has been guest artist on music series, including Chicago Classical Guitar Society and the newly formed Boston Guitar Project. Mr. Levin has also presented community-engagement programs for children, adolescents, and seniors in the Boston area at the Chestnut Hill Day School, at the Cadbury and Brigham House Assisted Living Centers, and at The Boston Ethical Society.
The recipient of numerous top prizes, Adam Levin has been recognized by the Society of American Musicians in Chicago, IL, the Lake Forest Concerto Competition, IL, and the Schubert Competition in St. Paul, MN. Levin was awarded 3rd Prize at the 2007 Boston GuitarFest. He was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, for innovative community work in the Boston area. As part of this award, Adam will be designing interactive music programs for school audiences as well as audiences at homeless shelters, rehabilitation centers, halfway houses and prisons.
Most recently, he is the recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship to study contemporary Spanish classical guitar music with Gabriel Estarellas and Ricardo Gallen in Madrid, Spain.
