About this user
Hello. I am just a God-fearing Christian who holds to the 100% true, unleavened Apostles' Doctrine. "Jesus Only" is what many call me, but people who misuse the fully revealed name of God as an insult show who they really are right from the start.
Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call."
Whether you have heaped unto yourself a "teacher" to scratch your itching ears after you read this or not, this IS the New Testament plan of salvation, and it is NOT some optional procedure as an "outward, public confession" of your walk with Jesus. There is no "picking and choosing" verses out of the Bible. The Word of God is the only real source of truth and it means what it means. There is no room to "follow your heart", or "believe what you want to believe". The truth of the Bible is all that we can afford to know.
Some people will misuse verses out of books of the Bible that were written to people who had already become Christians by obeying Acts 2:38. Perhaps "simply believing" would be a good start for anyone, but faith alone will not save anyone.
I hold to what many today would call "oneness" beliefs, but I myself simply see it as what the Bible truly teaches:
That is that God is absolutely, completely, and indivisibly ONE in number. He chooses to reveal himself to humanity as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, yet these are not three separate persons as some would have you to believe. It is this kind of spiritual fornication that attempts to put God in a box. God does not have fellowship, or take councel with two of his "co-equal persons". A carnal mind can see a younger man sitting on the right hand of an older man, who are sitting up in heaven conversing with each other. God did not send down some other person to die for our sins. Consider 1John3:16.
Jesus is the fully revealed name of the only God, and is the only name given among men whereby we must be saved. Jesus is the name of the Father, the name of the Son, and the name of the Holy Ghost. This revelation is why we must be baptized in Jesus' name, for the remission of sins.
I do not hold to any man-made tradition that attempts to associate itself with true Christianity, such as Easter and Christmas. Vain worship, and clinging to the traditions of men is no way to honor the one true God.
I love to hear testimonies about what Jesus has done in peoples' lives. He is a merciful, loving, perfect God. If you would like, please, share some things with me that He has done in your life.
