About this user
Luchy Garcia received her B.F.A in Theatre from LMU and her M.F.A from UCSD, one of the top ten league schools for Acting. Some independent film and TV projects include Rachel,Cryptic Situation, After the Stage Crew, Chicago Hope (tv), etc. She has performed in numerous productions all over, including a concert in Japan, and has worked with some amazing directors. She is most proud to have performed in outstanding theatres such as the Mark Taper Forum and the La Jolla Playhouse.
Some commercials currently playing: Wells Fargo, Fidelity National,Safeway/Vons -- so don't blink, hee hee
She won first place in the Open Stage Acting Competition and second place in the Ira Aldridge Acting Competition.
Partnering up with a long time friend, Deborah Furlan, she began ChiisaiMundo Productions in 2001 performing the Rainforest Show for children.
Finding that she has a love for comedy and being a silly goose herself, she created Jocularity, a sketch comedy group, with her good friend Jenn Mahoney and as Artistic Directors they created an amazing productive couple of years for the group performing at the Celtic Arts Center Theatre, the Ice House, the McCadden Place Theatre for its Comedy Festival, as well as shooting their first sketch demo.
Most exciting was reuniting with her UCSD graduate fellow classmates, Don MacKay (as Producer) and David Ledingham (as Director) whose Pegasus Repertory Theatre Company together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra presented a staged reading of The Song that Killed The Snake.
With the new media taking over, she is psyched by all the possibilities this medium has to offer. Presently she delights in having been one of the zany characters in the "now currently released webisode" Pasiones Obsesionantes (Haunting Passions)playing on YouTube. Director Joe Camareno allowed her to explore and play and go where she's never gone before. LOL. Presently she looks forward to her next project with Director Joe Camareno (stay tuned - it's even more wild then Pasiones)
Luchy is also excited to be back with her former group Jocularity, now with a new name that's soon to be announced. (look out for those zany videos as well.)
