Born and raised in Lebanon. I left my home country in 1978 when I was ~18 years old due to the Civil War back in 1976.

I will start by saying that now I wish I never stopped playing guitar especially after watching guitarists like Andy McKee on YouTube. My only advice to the younger generation if you are playing any musical instrument or if you will play one. NEVER STOP PLAYING, NEVER LOOSE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR ABILITIES AND DO NOT LET ANYONE DISCOURAGE YOU from playing. You will surprise yourself on how much you can accomplish.

Back when I was 8 years old my oldest brother Mike went to vacation in Europe. While walking the streets of London he stopped at a music store and picked up a small spanish guitar that he brought back home with him. The guitar was a gift from him to his 3 younger brothers Gabe, George and myself. At first the three of us used to quarrel over the guitar, anyway I got my share of practice and the three of us played well...

I came to the US in 1978 and got my Degree in Engineering. For financial reasons I went back home, then I left to Saudi Arabia where I worked close to 8 years. At age 21 I gave up the guitar playing, it seemed then that nobody cared to listen and that was part of the reason why I gave it up and life went on...

October 2005 I happen to stop at an open mic place called Rick's Music World in Raynham, MA. After I left the open mic that night my mind started wondering about playing again after 26 YEARS OF NOT STRUMMING A SINGLE NOTE (almost). Since that night I have been practicing again almost 10 hours each week and the result is what you see on this channel.

Sometime ago I got to a point where I have almost 20 songs in my repertoire ( I used to play a lot many more in my younger days, it seems I forgot the songs notes. I do not read music sheets I learned by ear).

Anyway, I wanted all my three brothers to learn about my progress on the guitar since we shared a common interest at one point. I happen to be talking to a friend of mine that I need to record some videos to put them on some CD's to mail overseas to my family. The problem was that all of us are spread into different parts of the world and I needed to make about 5 CD copies to send to my family in Paris, Nice, Algeria and Lebanon.
My friend then said "why don't you put the videos on YOUTUBE and then send them an email. And so was my channel on YT created.

I will close by repeating what I said in the beginning that now I wish I never stopped playing guitar especially after watching guitarists like Andy McKee on YouTube. My only advice to the younger generation if you are playing any musical instrument or if you will play one.
