@Movingtunes yes of course there is.... GAO is just a soft synth.
What do you mean 'usual writing keyboard'?
If you use a USB keyboard then that will have it's own midi driver... failing that just use an external midi keyboard
connected to one of your interface's midi ports or midi interface if...
