$cientology's a Scam, a Criminal Syndicate & a paramilitary Political Machine out for Total Global Control; not Spiritual Freedom -all rolled into one. It only masquerades as a Destructive Cult while "convincing" (some would say BRAINWASHING) its members it's a religion. Of course, you only remain in good standing & IN ETHICS in this "religion" as long as you remain UNCRITICAL, a "mark" and continue PAYING. End of story.

I would like to correct you " subtlest1 " -it's not just " a business".
How many businesses you know who want direct global control of all arias and will say it - back & white on paper. How many businesses use so many criminal and terrorist tactics as they use? No mafia can be compared - does not exist mob's who have power in Isreal, russia & usa & other places as much as Scientology has, and there is no huge mobster who would take everything from members and would make huge slave camps. & there is few businesses who would make money as much as they do (if any) - I mean, tax free, to the pocket. & also there is no organization in world who would have as much benefits from government as they have. etc etc - so its not just a business.

Scientology = personal preference only if Scientology = religion. Scientology is a business within the trappings of a religion. You spend large amounts of money to advance in understanding else you don't advance. I won't go into details.

The uproar is not against the belief system of Scientology but against it's methods. Methods which have been described by many as unethical and even destructive. Please do independent research. Then I hope you can see through the sugar-coated Scientology lie.

Scientology=personal preference. Don't like it? Then don't worry about it. Hey, I'm personally against the uproar on Scientology. I'm agnostic, believing in nature, and that's about it :D

Just saying, there are MUCH worse things out there than Scientology, often including mainstream religions such as Christianity.

I don't get why people should give a damn about whether others believe in the existance of Lord Xenu, Buddha, the Christian God, Allah, or even the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
