Google the Euthyphro dilemma to give what I think you're on about for the Abgef Dilemma!!

Hi Abgef!!
As to the 'Abgef Riddle', look up Plato's 'Euthyphro'
Should put another spin on it if you haven't heard of it before that is!!

They are kind of the same thing since they both require a lack of evidence...The term religious faith is just another word for delusions of religious folks.

every delusion might be true...but it has to lack evidence or opposed to logic for it to be a delusion.
Abgef (11 months ago)
well because when we applied logic to your God...there is simply no observation we can make to deem him evil since you can always assume he is good on zero basis but definition.

Therefore, you can only rely on assumptions of divine hidden motives & other possible excuses & blind faith..

& what way is there to differentiate this blind faith from indoctrinated delusions?
Abgef (11 months ago)
must have had a reason = Occam's razor fuel

had no reason = Absurdity

either way darkmatter wins, theist loses again & we can call it a day.

How does one differentiate faith from a delusion?

"how the fuck can you tell what is metaphorical in the bible?"

That's a question I've been asking Christians on YouTube for over 3 years now and I've *yet* to get an answer. Well, in fairness, a few Christians have suggested that the obviously impossible stuff must be metaphorical, e.g., moving mountains. Of course, once a Christian makes "obviously impossible" the measure, s/he has locked the Bible into a pair of buttered skis and placed it atop a most slippery slope.

Not collecting stamp is my hobby. I'm a hardcore non-stamp collector. And my favorite sport is not playing tennis. I'm a big not playing tennis fan.

"Its about belief, not about a mathematical calculation of the probability of something existing"

Agnosticism is defined as a belief that the knowledge of God is either unknown or unknowable....a person who believes at a 50-50 rate is obviously a person who believes he does not know (unknown), so that is obviously agnosticism.

In psychological terms, that is known as ambivalence, where part of your mind rejects an idea and another part of your mind champions it. Since we can't analyze someone's mind in terms of a binary "yes or no" solution, we must concede that someone can genuinely be on both sides of the fence (to whatever degree).
