I am a clicker trainer.

What this means to me is that I try to deliberately apply scientific principles of learning and behavior, and also that I am committed to the use of rewards rather than "corrections" or "dominance" in my training.


"There are two sides to the click: what happens before, and what happens after. What happens immediately before the click is is a behavior the trainer would like to strengthen. What happens immediately after is an event the animal would like to strengthen, such as reaching food. The click unites these two desires."
