95% of all who become involved in Network Marketing "fail." (Harsher estimates report that figure at 97%.) So what happened? Who is at "fault" here?
The first thing we need to get out of the way is that, in most cases, it is NOT the fault of MLM representative. The fact is, representatives are not getting properly TRAINED, a problem that is historical, not new. Too often, training has amounted to handing the individual a kit and patting them on the bottom on the way out the door with a "Go get 'em, Tiger!" This is followed by meetings that often amount to little more than "rah, rah, aren't we a happy bunch?"
The next time you attend one of those meetings, look around. In your mind, weed out 19 out of every 20 you see. They are people putting smiles on their respective faces, but going nowhere.
The procedure amounts mainly to this: Make a list of 25 of your friends and relatives to talk them into joining in with you in your new venture. Then, after you have exhausted your "warm market" and joined the NFL Club (that is, No Friends Left) . . . then what? It is time to turn to the "cold market" . . . those you don't know.
But how do you prospect the cold market? Most are stumped at this point. So do you turn to your sponsor? I hope you have a really good one because the odds are 95% your sponsor is going to quit, too.
That is where I come in. I had no warm market. I had to BEGIN in the cold market. Before getting into Network Marketing, I had lived virtually a hermit's life, and I did not know anybody.
But I did know one thing: I had to learn how to work the cold market or go down in flames with the rest of the 95%. I had no choice. This, however, has turned out to be an ADVANTAGE because I can now TEACH the most important facet of the business: prospecting in the cold market, where the vast majority of recruits MUST come from.
I knew something else, too: The most important factor in the success of the MLM representative is CARING ABOUT OTHERS. That is the way MLM works. If you earnestly work toward the success of others, yours is assured.
So what about me? Ah, I'm just an average joe out here in Tucson, Arizona. But I'm on my way. And if I can make it, you certainly can. Care to come along?
I really do appreciate you.
