On May 6, 2002 the ATLANTA DITC was inaugurated by Ambassador Andrew YOUNG. On September 20, 2002, the ATLANTA DITC was officially opened by its co-founder HSH Prince Albert II of MONACO. Since 2002, the ATLANTA DITC is Co-Chaired by Ambassador Andrew YOUNG and Dr. Marc-Daniel GUTEKUNST

The mission statement of the ATLANTA DITC is:
PEACE & RECONCILIATION Through SPORTS and EDUCATION

The ATLANTA DITC conducts the following activities:

•Training athletes in preparation of the Olympic Games
•Organizing National and International Competitions
•Hosting in Atlanta National and International Sports Forums, Conferences, World Congresses

Since May 6, 2002, 1,855+ athletes from 34 nations have trained and competed with the ATLANTA DITC
