A Russian Fairytale [Documentary Film]

This is a channel dedicated to the production of an observational documentary film to be shot in Russia at the end of 2008.

The film will give a close and personal glimpse into the lives of Russia's homeless youth, told through the eyes of young adults and children who have spent much of their lives living on the streets of Russia.

Often they have to beg, borrow and steal to stay alive through the formidable Siberian winter months, finding shelter in the sewers and underneath the apartment blocks of the wealthier Russians.

Many escaped the trouble and stress that was affecting the majority of adults in the unstable early 90s and found they could lead a life by their own rules, sleeping where they found shelter and not having to worry about school or work.

It will become clear however that despite their predicament, they find they're addicted to their almost fairytale-like existence.
