Mahler's 6th in A Minor has a tendency to knock my socks off. The socks I am wearing at the time I am listening to this work will wriggle from my feet, fly like Daedalus across the room and into gaping mouth of some other attendee listening to Mahler's 6th and having a similar reaction to its magnificence.

4. Finale. Allegro moderato - Allegro energico
A rather essential piece of music; perhaps the last great work of its kind until the summer of 1979 when The Slits released "Typical Girls," and thus saved musical integrity from opsonic obsolescence.
