This is a VERY good live version of the song. It also has more dimension to it than original. He's like a female Adele.

Why can't she sing like this recorded. I know many artists dumb their skills down for the masses, which I feel is insulting. Adele doesn't dumb her skills down she plays them up.

Alicia is great, but she struggles with the notes in her higher register. She is definitely a contralto. I love her music don't get me wrong and roberta flack will always do this song best. : )

I like the dissonance between what she looks like and what she sounds like. It's different. She looks like a rocker chick, but she sings such beautiful ethereal music. I mean people might say there are others out there like this like amy lee from evanescence or avril, but this one's unique.

She has a very clean soul voice as opposed to a Mary j. Blige or Lauren Hill. I think she has a great voice on her though.

I am not a fan of Katy Perry, but she actually doesn't do a bad cover of this song. And she can actually sing. Why does she sing songs that don't compliment her voice. She is pretty good. I would listen to her more if she sang like this. Her fills and harmonies are even spot on. Good job Katy Pe...
