Check out this adorably goofy guy!!! This is Scrappy Doo, a delicious little pocket pitt. Scrappy Doo was turned into the shelter with his Sister, Mini, a couple of weeks ago by his previous owners. We were contacted about him because about 5 years ago we were helping get dogs and cats fixed in Scrappy's neighborhood and micro-chipped the dogs.
Now Scrappy Doo and Mini are safe but they need a foster and/or adoptive home! Scrappy Doo is sweet and good with other dogs. He can be shy at first with men, but gets over it in due time. Still he is learning to trust again really quickly. The people at the cage-free boarding facility love him! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Scrappy Doo, email us at: adoptions@adogsliferescue.org

Turkey was found by the head technician at California Animal Hospital. He has been in a cage there for over a month already and really needs a home since the corporation who owns the vet is not very friendly about rescue.
This playful Chi mix is about a year old. His tail is always wagging, probably because he's so happy to be indoors! He has a lot of puppy energy, but also works hard to please his people. Right now he is stuck in a cage 24/7 so he really needs to get out and into a home environment where he can get the attention and structure he deserves. But once he gets that kind of structure, he's sure to reward his owner with sweet kisses and cuddles. Turkey has been great at the vet despite being stuck in a cage. He is friendly to everyone...people and other dogs.

AS FOR IGBY...
A friend of the rescue called us last month desperate for help with this little puppy. At the time he was in a terrible home where he was living in a tiny bathroom 12 hours a day. The family clearly no longer cared for him and relinquished him to her.
Igby is four months old and 6 pds. Our vet thinks he may grow to be about 12-15 pds as an adult. He is not fully socialized (not surprised since they were keeping him in a bathroom 12 hours a day) but he is very sweet and handsome, plus he is doing well while staying at the vet and learning to play with another dog his size.
We believe that once Igby gets into a loving home that deserves him, his social side will come out and he'll be a love-machine. But he needs that special person to make up for the lousy six months he's had up until now.
To meet Igby please contact Julia@adogsliferescue.org

Batman and his brother Robin were rescued from a feral colony along with two other siblings. All of the kittens were socialized immediately and they are now sweet and friendly and playful. They are approximately 12 weeks old. Their two siblings have already been placed and Batman and Robin would love to find a home together if possible. They really are very bonded and it would be sad to part them.
Batman and Robin have already received their first kitten vaccines and have been tested (negative) for FELV/FIV. These two brothers are wonderful and very handsome and of course Batman got his name due to his ability to swing on the bars of his crate while we were taming him:) Both kittens will be micro-chipped and neutered by the rescue at the appropriate time.
Please contact adoptions@adogsliferescue.org to meet or learn more about Batman.

This is "Squirrel", a young Maine Coon female found at a feral cat colony in a dangerous area. When she started rubbing up against people who walked by, the feeder determined that she was tame and took her to the vet. She has been in boarding at the vet for the last 2 months and really needs to stretch her legs and play. Squirrel is approximately 9 months old, is affectionate, playful and is in desperate need of a foster or permanent home. I am attaching a picture taken of her when she was at the colony and a short video that was made when she arrived at the vet. If you look close at the picture, you will see that her tail resembles that of a racoon. She is much more beautiful in person and is a Classic Brown Tabby Maine Coon. If you can foster or provide a permanent home for her, please contact julia at julia@adogsliferescue.org
PS - Squirrel is spayed, de-flead, de-wormed, combo tested for FELV/FIV (negative results), and is microchipped.
