If he did fake his own death he would have had to give up the drink and drugs. His body couldn't have taken much more. It's doubtful he would have had the will power to do this although a reduction in income may have meant less drugs were consumed.

It's an ok song. Problem was they had to include John on the song. All they had was an old discarded demo John didn't even think was good enough for Double Fantasy. The voice quality us poor.

Paul was very versatile. Being an inspired bass player, competent drummer, good guitarist as well as being good on the piano. John was also versatile.

Probably a reason why they wrote so many songs. It must be easier to think of new ideas with lots of instruments to play with.
