Happy 2012 !!!!
I pray that Jesus love will touch your heart today. There simply is no love greater or more solid than his. My heart's deepest desire is the same as his....that none should perish. Jesus is the only way to salvation and reconciliation with the one and only God, Jehovah -The Creator and Sustainer of everything. That is the main reason I created this site. I wanted to be among those shining the truth of God's love into today's smokescreen of confusion. I am open to answer any questions or concerns you may have to the best of my ability.
Please seek him. He promises that you will find him. Just ask and seek him. Nothing else in your life or your loved ones lives could be more important. Granted we can not know the exact time of the Lord's return, but we can know the season. And we are in it. God's prophets provided us much revelation about Jesus' birth, life, ministry, death and the end times in both the old and new testaments. (The best Bible Version for easiest reading is the "Amplified Bible". If you read it first it makes reading the "King James" version easier to understand.) During Jesus' time on Earth he spoke of these last years, this last generation. Here are just a few of Jesus' words regarding his return:
Matthew 24
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
God bless you in seeking the truth that Jesus came to bring to us all!

If you desire to learn more about Jesus Christ and Jehovah God our Father, here are a few website links for some good Christian teachers. It is always best to read the Bible for yourself because there are some false teachers of God's message. So please don't listen to everyone who calls themselves Christian. In my opinion (just of my own experience) I have found that I trust these four teachers the most. This by no means implies that they are the only good, sincere teachers, just in the realm of my own personal experience. There is no way I could follow the teachings of everyone. I would never suggest someone to lead you down a wrong path. That is why the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to read the Bible yourself. For understanding in your Bible readings, it is helpful to pray right before you begin reading. Just ask God to reveal his word to your heart.

These men are a good resource to use in conjunction with your own Bible readings. God bless you and guide you on your journey to having your own personal relationship with the Holy Trinity...God the Father, Jesus his Son and Sweet Holy Spirit.
Since many people have this question about why bad things happen, I decided to post my answer. We live in world cursed by sin, a fallen world. God is love, but he is also just and righteous. He has many facets but these are the three I am going to concentrate on to answer your question. There is so much it is hard to know where to start. It is something that is difficult to discuss in a one sided conversation, but I will do my best.
Satan is the father of sin. His introduction of sin into this world as well as heaven itself, is the reason for the bad things you see happening. God did not bring these bad things, evil imaginations, and horrible acts into our earth. He hates them even more than we do. He hates all sin. And you know the story around all that brought us to the fallen world we all know today. God's word is forever, rock solid like nothing else. Because of that long ago the wages of sin was set at death. Man sinned, was doomed to death and separation from God. He is a holy, loving, just and righteous God. Yet in his love, mercy and grace toward all his creation (especially man his most special creation in his image) he provided a way to redeem us---his only begotten son Jesus (a part of the Holy Trinity) left his throne in heaven to come to Earth to make a way for man's redemption. Man's way back to God which was the deepest desire of his heart. A great price for the both because of their great love that we can't even comprehend. He could have just destroyed us and started over or forgotten the whole thing.
Yet even though God made a way in his mercy and grace to be reconciled back to him, the world is still in this fallen state. And it will remain so until the return of Jesus Christ @ the Battle of Armageddon, when he establishes his throne on Earth and renews the Earth to it's original pure state. (The millennial reign) Sin and Satan are responsible for the horrible things we see.
I know God protects his people from much, but he said that we would have trials and tribulations in this world because of sin. Being a Chrisitan doesn't mean we walk totally free of life's troubles. He did promise us that we would never be alone and he promised to turn all evil meant towards us to good. And that is a lot. Through our trials, we can reach out to others to help them too. As Christians we are to reach out to all people, especially the broken, hurting and lost. We are here to help those who don't know the Lord to find their way to the redemption that God so lovingly provided.
