All I Can Be is A Sweet Memory - CONWAY TWITTY
-This song is from the Lp '' Chasin' Rainbows " -1985
@Glenn7780: I forgot to mention "The Note" was recorded by Conway in 1985, too, and it eventually became a hit for Darryl Singletary. Conway recorded "I'm Already Taken" in 1981 as a duet with his daughter, Kathy. The song's co-writer, Steve Wariner, would release the song as a single nearly 20 y...

All I Can Be is A Sweet Memory - CONWAY TWITTY
-This song is from the Lp '' Chasin' Rainbows " -1985
Quite a few of Conway's early to mid '80s albums featured several songs that became hits for other artists. This song became a hit for Collin Raye. On another 1985 album from Conway he recorded "Somebody Lied" which became a hit for Ricky Van Shelton. On 1982's DREAM MAKER album there's his versi...

The New Price is Right with Dennis James; Full Episode from 1972
UPDATE (5/22/11): 1,000 views!
Taped: September 4, 1972
Aired: October 15(?), 1972
Episode 6
I'm very aware of how common this episode is, but I'm...
@Mcnzlea: It's done, I assume, for tradition. Half the charm is that the show, as a whole, often plays as if it were from the '70s and '80s with the only difference being the inflationary prices in the items (and of course, the show's host). Also, it's a game show, there's no need for the props t...

@professordumbledorf: well, not exactly...it's about father abandonment. More commonly referred to by people today as "dead beat dads". The powerful lyric comes at the very end of the song when the mother, after six years away from the boy's father, tries to tell her son why there's no father in ...

This game show is where I first heard of Bill Anderson. At the time I was a kid and knew nothing of his legendary career as a singer/songwriter. Jim Ed Brown was the same scenario...I only knew of him as the host of "You Can Be a Star" which also ran on TNN. Little did I know then that both of th...

Nashville on the Road 1980 KTHI promo & station ID
A 1980 promo spot for the syndicated country & western music series "Nashville on the Road" leads into a KTHI station ID.
This is one show that I have only seen a little bit of. Unfortunately I didn't get RFD-TV in my area until a few years ago and by then the channel had stopped airing reruns of this show. I'd love to see a lot of the interaction between Jerry Clower and the others.

You Can Be A Star Intro
From the show taped in May of 1985. Union Standard appeared in, and won 2 episodes, and progressed into the finals.
This show and the game show "Fandango" are where I first heard of Jim Ed Brown and Bill Anderson. I was a kid in the '80s and had NO idea just how legendary those two are.

I'm a big fan of Hee-Haw! I watch it every Sunday night at 8pm on RFD-TV. I can't wait for the big DVD collection that's suppose to be released at some point next year. Some of the greats in country music and comedy were cast members: Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Archie Campbell, Grandpa Jones, Minnie ...

little rural riding hood
great tex toon! enjoy!!
@1993joshualiu: It's based on the idea held at the time that southern men flip out the most over "city girls" and for laughs they had the city wolf get excited over the country girl since it isn't something the city wolf is used to seeing. It's simply a parody of culture stereotypes. It's hilarious.

Thanks for the upload! This episode appears on the DVD collection that I don't own yet. I have the first 3 collections: Season 1, Volume One; Season 1, Volume Two; and Season 2, Volume One. I'm always WAY behind when it comes to buying those cartoon collection DVDs.

Osmonds, Dusty Springfield, Ray Stevens, Andy Williams - Blues Medley
The Osmond Brothers, Dusty Springfield, Ray Stevens and Andy Williams perform a Blues Medley on the Andy Williams Show which aired in 1969.
I liked the clip...wish it were in color, though! I keep hoping more and more of Ray's appearances on Andy's program see the light of day. If there happens to be any color clips of Ray from Andy's program we'd all love to see them.

I have several of the DVD collections. I'd like to seeing footage of the actors/actresses doing the voices. Lou Scheimer did a lot of the character roles as did Linda Gary and Alan Oppenheimer.

I assume this was taped at an attraction at Opryland. It's from Nashville Now because I recognize the band (Larry Sasser on steel guitar, Jerry Whitehurst on piano, and Fred playing guitar). At the 1:24 mark the camera pulls back and you can see Ralph watching the performance as another guest, Ra...

I used to hear Del a LOT on the Opry programs. He'd usually host a segment midway through the then 5 and a half hour program on WSM radio and sometimes he'd be a guest on another Opry member's segment. One of his regular routines was an impression of Johnny Cash singing "I Would Like To See You A...

Little Jimmy Dickens (Interview) - Sleeping At The Foot Of The Bed.
A giant man sings a giant song. This clip is from the Crook and Chase TV Show
Great interview clip and the classic clip at the end was great. There used to be a clip of Del Reeves doing an impression of Little Jimmy Dickens and after seeing the classic clip on this video it's amazing how accurate Del was. Trivia: the portrait in the background was done by Archie Campbell.

Guiding Light November 14, 1983.
The conclusion of the Lake Elizabeth storyline. Also includes Vincent Irizarry's first appearance as Lujack.
@jenbirdscully: I had always thought that H.B. was talking out loud after hiding the gun he shot Eli with!? In the scene at the beginning it shows him walking away after he shot him.

Ray Stevens - Mr. President - Mr. President
What are you going to do!?! Find out at http://www.raystevens.com
@WrightvWrong: There's a song on his previous CD from last year that's just as hilarious even though it's addressing the not too funny subject matter of Government take over. The CD's titled We The People and it has 22 songs on it. The song in question, which was never made into a music video, is...

A 45 releasing on Barnaby Records, 1975. Produced & arranged by Ray Stevens...
The song, originally, was only available as a B-side and didn't appear on any vinyl album, cassette, or CD until 23 years later in 1998. I don't have very many vinyl singles from Ray but I have a decent amount of vinyl albums, cassettes, CD's, and DVD's of him.

One of the things not touched upon yet was the subtle announcing of Rod Roddy...closely in step with the way he did the opening narration for SOAP. Going through the comments I saw it mentioned that this performance was from 1992. I would have to say this comes from the 1988-1990 era of Ralph's program. I'm basing my assumptions on Ralph's appearance. In 1992 he had his hair dyed blond/gold and was clean shaven. If you look up his book, Memo...
