ABOUT LIZZY TRABAND - I am 13 years old. I live and ride at Carousel Farm. I have been riding since before I could walk. My mom, who has ridden most of her life trains me. I also train with Tommie Turvey and Elizabeth Solter. I have also just recently had an opportunity to do some training with Louise Serio and Anne Kursinski. I love to compete and perform on my horses and ponies. I some times perform in Tommie Turvey's Night of Amazing Horses. There is a video on his show in my favorites section. I love training and teaching. I love to ride bridleless and teach my horses tricks. When I outgrow my ponies, I am going to use them to teach other little kids how to ride. I hope to one day ride in the Medal McClay & compete an International Hunter Futurity horse and compete an international jumper. I have perform at many places including Breyerfest and the 2010 World Equestrian Games. I love any excuse that lets me spend more time with my ponies & horses.....they are the best!
I founded Taiji horsemanship that my effort to explain how I train my animals. I am looking forward to developing Taiji Horsemanship. Taiji means "Supreme Ultimate" acheived when there is perfect balance and harmony. You can read more about it on my website or blog.
Horses have made a hugh difference in my life. I hope that any kid needing a reason to believe in themselves has a chance to ride.

ABOUT ANNETTE - I am 45 years old. I am Lizzy's mom. I have been riding all of my life. We own Carousel Farm in State College, PA, where we breed, teach and train. We also stand a trakehner stallion, Sonset's Sieger, by the gold medal winning, Abdullah. we compete and perform, but first and foremost we have horses, because we thoroughly enjoy and love our animals.
WHY WE POST VIDEO - We post video with the hope that it will inspire others in a way that they can get even more enjoyment out of time spent with their horses. Not all horses are cut out to compete and not eveyone wants to or can afford to compete. We enjoy competing, but more importantly we set out to have fun. We embrace the journey the horses take us on (ie place we go, people we meet, things the horses teach us, acceptance they provide us and things we find ourselves doing that we didn't think was possible) We hope we inspire others to have a wonderful journey with their horse!
