The LGBT Project brings impact lawsuits in state and federal courts throughout the country—cases designed to have a significant effect on the lives of LGBT people. In coalition with other civil rights groups, we also lobby in Congress and support grassroots advocacy—from local school boards to state legislatures. As part of the broad civil liberties mission of the ACLU, the Project brings the LGBT community together with other social change movements in order to achieve a just society for all. Today, the ACLU brings more sexual orientation cases and advocacy initiatives than any other national civil rights organization.

Pitstopbarney, I'm curious where you heard about this. We've never heard of such a case, so someone misinformed you. The ACLU position would actually be the exact opposite - we support the Constitutional right to freedom of religion and if the prison censored religious expression in any way, we would look into whether we could do anything to stop it.

I just saw a newsclip about a mother who was writing her son in prison, and unbeknownst to her, the ACLU had the prison delete any Bible scriptures in her letters. As much as 2/3 of her letters had been cut out! Whatever happened to freedom of speech? Gone thanks to ACLU.

The ACLU is living proff God and our Holy Bible is real. Done so by fast fawarding proving phophey written in the scriptures of the Holy Bible more that 2500 years ago right to where we are now in the last days just as promised. The Holy Bible talks about all the they are doing. Then goes on to say, when you see these things know the time is near. I think everyone can see it, but the ACLU.
