Hello WORLD, RoLLEmUp Portable Studio consists of music that ive created using the PSP and a music synth app. called Rhythm. Ive been using this app for over 2 yrs now. Im proud to say that since those two yrs. Ive learned a lot, and im just barely getting started on creating some top notch music. My main goal is for people to be shocked and stunned to learn that im creating all of this powerful music with a PSP.

I first got into producing as a hobbie with a friend in High School, he baught an ASR-X PRO and we had NO clue what we were doing. After shit loads of horrible off beat music, we discovered how to synch, loop, and quantize tracks. We skipped on reading the Manual, those things are Booooring.

Some of my best work was at the end of what later ended up a fallout between my friend and I. About a couple months after that, I would swing by the Guitar Center with 5 bucks to my name daily. Just enough for a bus there and back home a beer and occasionally a little pot to mess around with the synths, keyboards and drum machines, but the ASR X wasnt anywhere to be found. Turns out it got discontinued. Far more superior synths n drum machines would later come out. The staff at Guitar Center were GREAT, they were very laid back musicians, and would let me sit there for hrs. at times i'd stay until closing and even later. It got to a point where i was an unpayed employ, the manager asked me if I was gona be there for as long as i was, to at least showcase the keyboard to customers who were browsing and potential buyers. I would give these people the ins and outs about the keyboard I was using, which was the Yamaha Motif series. I mean I would run down all the specs from A to Z.

One evening, I stayed until closing, and the manager comes up to me and shuts down all the equipment and speakers around me, and says to me tthats the jam but sweety you got to hurry up and save the song I want to get outa here early tonight." At that moment i look up at her and tell her, "I dont have a memory card". You shouldve seen the look on her face. She then says. " you mean all this time you been in and out of this store all the shit you made you havent saved any of it? Not even one?"

I said, " yupp, this whole time".
I will never forget what she did for me after that. She told me, "child you better save that song cus its the jam, I was dancing to it and others in the store were asking who that was, if it was a cd we were playing in the store. From now on when you come here your gona save all the beats that you make".
I was stunned, happy but. I had no money . . .
She asked me, well how do I get here everyday? I explained to her about my 5 bucks a day budget, and that I was unemployed at the time.

She did the most incredible and sweetest thing anyone has done for me musically. She offered to give me the memory card to save my beat on one condition. It had to stay at the store until i could pay it off.

So a couple days later or so, i payed it all off and continued to go to the Guitar Center, for a few more months Until new management came in and they put locks on the keyboard I was using. Later on more bad luck happened to me when my memory card got corrupted and I lost all 150 of my songs. I was saving up during that time to buy my own keyboard, and meanwhile also working with another high school friend who had the Yamaha Motif and a studio to mix , master and record some of my songs in the meantime.

That never happened.

I never baught the Motif, and to this day, still dream to own one and continue where I left off.

For now its just me and my SONY PSP and the synth app. RHYTHM which I now use to continue to do what I love to do. Make songs and share with you my passion for music.
